Articulate 360 eLearning Courses

Articulate is a provider of software tools used to make e-learning interactive content. It is used by more than 100,000 global organizations by an estimated 112 million learners in over 160 countries.

Rise, a component of Articulate 360, is a linear, "quick-build" tool.  While users like its linear design and website-like feel, the interaction options are more limited than what an Instructional Designer can build "from scratch" in Storyline, another Articulate tool.  My preference is to combine both tools, encasing custom interactions that I create in Storyline into Rise, as blocks.

Storyline:  Simulated Text Message Quiz

Knowledge Checks, aka quizzes, don't have to be boring!  Here is an example of using a simulation of familiar technology (IM/Messaging) to check for learner comprehension.

Rise and Storyline Hybrid:  Title VII

This example showcases how I create custom interactive elements (like "spin the wheel" or a "fill-in-the-blanks"), as well as video, to elevate Rise's design options.

03

Rise:  RTOR

This content was part of a "return to office information hub" webpage.  It is a simulated radio with user selectable channels, broadcasting news about the organization's return to office process and, for a spot of fun, music channels.

The organization this was created for valued humor and the user base appreciated relatable, even quirky approaches to content dissemination.

Rise:  HIPAA

This course also features some Storyline designed interactions (check Lesson 2 for a fun "scratch-off reveal".  Also featured is a scenario-based knowledge check where the learner can direct the outcome of a situation based on their answer choices.

Storyline:  Style Delineator

Based off a flow-chart, learners answer a series of questions (the number of which can vary from 2 - 6 based on the flow-path), and from those answers their "Leadership Style" is identified.

Great introduction to the concept of how leadership style assessments like MBTI, DISC, or Strength Finder use situational questions to suggest similarities.

Storyline:  Just For Fun

Who says HR and L&OD don't have a sense of humor?  Created for April Fool's Day, this Storyline created quiz purports to help learners identify ways to be successful at work.  You'll quickly see not all is as it seems.
